Memphis Carlton bookcase

Cartlon by Memphis is a bookcase made of wood and covered in decorative coloured laminate. An absolute icon of Memphis, it was designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1981. This bookcase represents the group's programmatic intention: that is, the desire to transgress the rules of good design with an irreverent, unorthodox and conscious spirit. Carlton has a vaguely anthropomorphic structure, has various uses and one can also be used as a partition in an open space.
