Martinelli Luce Pipistrello led table Lamp

Flexibility, humor and elegance are three words with which we can summarize Pipistrello, the famous lamp designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965. A great icon of Italian design produced continuously for over 50 years by Martinelli Luce. Pipistrello was initially designed for the Olivetti store in Paris and put into production only later, becoming a timeless success with a thousand souls, a project that has been able to renew itself over time without ever losing its identity. The lamp is made with molding techniques of the methacrylate diffuser, innovative for the era in which it was designed. The elusive shape of the conical base develops upwards, widening in the ribs of the diffuser, like the spreading of the wings of a bat. Placed on a table or on the floor, this lamp characterizes any type of environment with its expressive power.
