The founder Giò Colonna Romano, combined his fervent imagination with a thirty-year know-how in the processing of plastic resins, giving birth to SLIDE DESIGN in 2002. Since 2015 his son Marco Colonna Romano takes over the reins of the company, with the same father's desire to innovate. Slide becomes a beloved company for outdoor furniture: new shapes, materials and tactile textures have won the hearts and ideas of architects and interior designers around the world. Slide thus gave birth to complete collections and furnishings, with new shapes whose lines arise from the collaboration with internationally renowned designers such as Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Stefano Giovannoni, Fabio Novembre, Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid and Marc Sandler. In recent years he has developed a line of technical lamps for large areas, essential in shape but of great visual impact. For the first time, Slide has succeeded in giving an artisanal turning point to an industrial process: to meet the increasingly high demands of living, the production creates non-replicable shades, in which every small imperfection enhances the industrial process and makes each piece unique. This is why Slide's strength has always been the careful reading of the market, the creation of something that was not there and which then became necessary.
