Quadro by Lumen Center table lamp, designed by Jacques Adnet in 1929, is an emblematic example of elegance and minimalism that embodies the sober style of the rationalist currents of the 1930s. Its design is characterised by refined geometries and sophisticated simplicity, reflecting the aesthetics of an era in which functionality and beauty were harmoniously intertwined. The lamp was revived in the 1970s thanks to the vision of then art director Gilles Derain, who wanted to revitalise this classic.
Made of tubular brass, ‘Quadro’ features sandblasted acrylic resin diffusers that diffuse light in a delicate and pleasant manner. The electric cable covered in black fabric adds a touch of sophistication and coherence to the design. Integrated LED sources provide modern, sustainable lighting, while the push dimmer on the base allows easy control of the light intensity.
The lamp is available in three elegant finishes: chrome, 24K gold and matte black, each with high-quality marble bases - black Marquina marble, white Carrara marble and Verde Alpi marble - that provide additional aesthetic value and an elegant contrast to the brass frame. ‘Quadro' is not just a lamp, but a design piece that enriches any environment with its distinctive and timeless presence.
