Luceplan Malamata 48 brass suspension lamp

Luceplan Malamata 48 is a brass suspension lamp with a refined contemporary design, created by studio Shulab for Luceplan. Crafted in metal with a generous 48 cm diameter opal spherical diffuser, this pendant light takes its name and concept from the Hebrew word malamata, meaning "up and down". A counterweight mechanism, activated by a button that triggers a spring, allows the lamp to slide smoothly along its shaft and be adjusted to any desired height with ease and precision. The brass finish lends the piece a warm, sophisticated character, striking a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetic elegance.

Thanks to its generous proportions and diffused, enveloping light, the Malamata 48 is ideal for visually impactful spaces: it integrates effortlessly into a living room, a dining area or an open-plan space, where it becomes both an architectural statement and a light source. The lamp uses an LED light source with an E26-E27 lampholder, not included, with a recommended maximum bulb diameter of 70 mm; it features an integrated driver and operates on a universal voltage of 100 to 240 V, making it suitable for a variety of international installations. The IP20 protection rating means it is designed exclusively for indoor use. The full dimensions include a rod length of 119 cm, a total lamp height of 132 cm, a cable adjustable up to a maximum of 312 cm, and a ceiling rose measuring 13×4 cm, ensuring maximum installation flexibility. The lamp is not dimmable. Malamata is also available in a smaller diffuser version and in a lacquered black finish, to suit a range of aesthetic preferences.
