Luceplan Malamata 22 brass suspension lamp

Luceplan Malamata 22 is a brass suspension lamp designed by studio Shulab for Luceplan, combining a distinctive mechanical principle with refined formal elegance. The name derives from the Hebrew word meaning "up and down", perfectly reflecting how this luminaire works: a counterweight, activated by a dedicated button, triggers a spring that allows the lamp to slide along its shaft, freely adjusting its height as desired, whether in a parallel or diagonal position. The structure is entirely crafted in metal with a brass finish, featuring a spherical opal diffuser with a 22 cm diameter that delivers soft, diffused light emission throughout the space.

Thanks to its sculptural silhouette and counterweight mechanism, Malamata 22 integrates effortlessly into a wide range of living spaces, from living rooms to kitchens, adding a touch of modernity and quality craftsmanship to any setting. The lamp is powered by an E14 LED light source, not included, with a maximum recommended bulb diameter of Ø 40 mm, and operates at a universal input voltage of 100–240 V via the integrated driver, with insulation class II and protection rating IP20. Dimming functionality is not supported. Key dimensions include a rod length of 106 cm, a lamp height of 86 cm, a cable of up to 302 cm, and a ceiling rose of 13×4 cm. Malamata is also available in a version with a larger diffuser and in black, to suit different compositional and stylistic requirements.
