Louis Poulsen Wohlert Glass Suspension Lamp

Wohlert by Louis Poulsen is a blown opaline glass suspension lamp designed by Vilhelm Wohlert in 1980, born from a challenge set by the then-CEO of Louis Poulsen, Jens Kaastrup-Olsen: to create an elegant, easy-to-maintain pendant available in three different sizes. The result is a lamp of refined simplicity, composed of a matt white opaline blown glass shade and a steel suspension rod, combining functionality and aesthetic rigour in a single timeless object. The power cable measures 3000 mm, the ceiling rose is included, and the lamp is compatible with the main international voltage standards.

The Wohlert is designed to serve as the primary light source in any interior, thanks to its diffused and direct light emission: the opaline glass surface distributes light evenly throughout the room, while the opening at the bottom produces a direct downward beam, ideal for illuminating dining tables, kitchen islands or work surfaces. It is available in three sizes — diameters of 300, 350 and 400 mm with heights of 320, 370 and 420 mm respectively — designed to suit rooms of different dimensions and proportions. Each version can be installed individually or grouped in multiple configurations to create striking lighting compositions. The light source is a 70 W E26/E27 bulb, not included, with a protection rating of IP20. An ideal choice for the living room, the kitchen or any residential space calling for elegant and functional general lighting.
