Louis Poulsen Tomoshi is a rechargeable portable lamp born from the collaboration between Danish brand Louis Poulsen and designer Nendo – Oki Sato, introduced as a 2024 novelty. The name Tomoshi draws from one of the Japanese words for "light," a reference that permeates every detail of the design: the body, base and diffuser are crafted from recycled polymer, while the adjustable strap is made from genuine leather. Standing 270 mm tall and equipped with an integrated 3W LED at 5V DC, Tomoshi brings together refined aesthetics and portable functionality for indoor lighting.

Thanks to its cordless nature, Tomoshi adapts effortlessly and elegantly to a wide range of settings: it can be placed freely, docked or carried wherever needed, bringing warmth and atmosphere to everyday spaces. It is the ideal companion for the living room or the bedroom, wherever a cable-free ambient light is desired. The matt finish — available in white or dark brown, matt painted — gives the lamp a refined and contemporary character, while the textured button and meticulous construction reflect the quality Louis Poulsen is known for. The light output is dimmable via STEP-DIM, with a continuous and gradual colour temperature range from 2000K to 2700K: at 100% brightness the battery lasts 5.5 hours, rising to 15 hours at 45%, 38 hours at 20%, and up to 48 hours at 5% intensity. The rechargeable and replaceable 6200 mAh battery charges via USB-C cable, with a white light indicator on the base during charging. The IP21 protection rating and Class III insulation ensure safe indoor use. Compatibility with multiple voltage standards — EU, AUS, USA, UK and Japan — makes Tomoshi suitable for use worldwide. The strap, LED module and batteries are all replaceable, supporting easier end-of-life disposal and greater sustainability.
