Louis Poulsen Toldbod A/S Suspension Ceiling Lamp

Louis Poulsen Toldbod A/S is a suspension ceiling lamp developed by the design team at Louis Poulsen, one of Denmark's most iconic lighting design brands. The structure is crafted in pressed aluminium with a conical shade featuring an elegantly minimal profile, completed by a fabric cord extending up to 300 cm. The interior of the shade is frosted and painted white — a deliberate technical choice that promotes even light distribution while minimising glare.

True to Poul Henningsen's philosophy of shaping light to illuminate spaces without causing discomfort, the Toldbod A/S directs the majority of the light downward, delivering focused illumination while generating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Its delicate form and compositional versatility make it equally suited to standalone installation or arrangements in line or cluster configurations, even in mixed colour combinations. It is an ideal choice for the living room, and integrates beautifully into spaces such as the kitchen or bedroom. The lamp is available in five finishes — black, blue grey, pink, light grey and white — and in five diameters: 120 mm, 170 mm, 250 mm, 400 mm and 550 mm. The lamp holder varies according to the chosen size: the 120 mm version accommodates a G9 source up to 30W, the 170 mm an E14 up to 40W, while the 250 mm, 400 mm and 550 mm diameters use E27 fittings rated up to 60W and 100W respectively. The LED light source is not included. The product carries Insulation Class II with a protection rating of IP20, and supports a universal input voltage of 100–240 V, compatible with EU, AUS, USA, UK and Japanese electrical systems.
