Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke D720

Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke D720 is one of the most iconic pendant lamps in design history, originally created by Poul Henningsen in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen. Its origins trace back to the designer's earlier work, particularly the PH Septima developed between 1927 and 1931, from which it inherits the fundamental principle of multi-screen light distribution. The structure is crafted in aluminium, with laser-cut steel leaves arranged on a chrome-plated or steel frame, and a polished chrome suspension.

Seventy-two metal leaves form 12 rows of six leaves each, ensuring flawless, 100% glare-free light diffusion, regardless of the angle from which the lamp is viewed. This technical solution distributes light both inwards and outwards, enveloping the space in complete and harmonious illumination. Thanks to its sculptural presence and a diameter of 720 mm with a total height of 650 mm, the PH Artichoke D720 is the ideal choice for large-scale environments such as the living room, formal dining rooms, or high-end contract spaces.

The lamp is available in several finishes — copper, white, black, stainless steel, and brass — to suit different aesthetic contexts while preserving its distinctive identity. The LED version features an integrated driver housed in the canopy (included), with a 4 m cable of 2 x 1 mm² cross-section, compatible with voltages of 100–240 V for use in Europe, Australia, the USA, the UK, and Japan. The protection rating is IP20 with insulation class I. LED variants are available at 2700K or 3000K, controllable via DALI or Bluetooth Wireless protocol, for precise and flexible dimming. An E27/26 version rated at 1x100W is also available, with the bulb not included. The 3000K version with remote driver is available on request.
