Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke New Colors is one of the most iconic pendant lamps in design history, originally created by Poul Henningsen in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen. Its origins trace back to the PH Septima project of 1927-31, from which Henningsen drew the fundamental concept of overlapping shades for flawless light diffusion. The structure comprises 72 laser-cut steel leaves, arranged in 12 rows of 6 leaves each, mounted on a laser-cut steel frame and a spun aluminum suspension. In 2025, Louis Poulsen presents the PH Artichoke in a new range of contemporary finishes, with liquid-painted leaves and a white interior surface.

The PH Artichoke New Colors 2025 is available in the finishes Dusty blue/brass, Dusty blue/chrome, Dusty green/brass, Dusty green/chrome and White/brass, in two diameters: Ø480 mm and Ø600 mm. The artichoke design distributes light both inward and outward, completely eliminating glare regardless of the viewing angle. An ideal statement piece for a sophisticated living room or a formal dining space, the PH Artichoke also suits high-end contract and hospitality environments where design takes center stage. The E26-E27 lampholder is compatible with LED sources up to 100W, with a 4000 mm power cord and ceiling rose included.
