Louis Poulsen PH 3½-2½ Floor Centenary Edition

In 1926, 100 years ago, Poul Henningsen invented the iconic three-shade system, later known as the PH System. The shades were modeled according to a natural logarithmic curve, which allowed for the creation of a lamp that could distribute light in soft layers and was completely glare-free. The shades followed a precise mathematical numerical structure that offered infinite combinations to suit different lighting needs.

The combination of amber glass in the PH Centenary Edition is a classic element of the historic PH design, already present in vintage lamps. The upper amber shade is made of four layers of glass with a white inner side, which guarantees a very warm and atmospheric light emission upwards, while maintaining a white light directed downwards. The structures are made of antique brass and the cables are covered in brown fabric to emphasize the vintage aesthetic and character.
