In 1926, 100 years ago, Poul Henningsen invented the iconic three-shade system, later known as the PH System. The shades were shaped according to a natural logarithmic curve, allowing the creation of a lamp capable of distributing light in soft layers while being completely glare-free. The shades followed a precise mathematical numerical structure, offering endless combinations to meet different lighting requirements.
The PH 2/2 Wall Centenary follows the design of the PH Luna and the PH 2/1 Wall from the 1930s. The original bakelite socket housing design has been updated with a metal version, in line with the new PH models. The design of the wall base has been adapted to modern installations and recalls the base of the PH Luna. The lamp features an amber upper shade and white opal lower shades. It is available in three different versions: without switch, with switch, or with cord and switch.
