Louis Poulsen Panthella 250 V3 Portable is a battery-powered table lamp originally designed in 1971 by Verner Panton, now reinterpreted in a portable, rechargeable version that fully preserves its iconic aesthetic. The structure, crafted from injection-moulded acrylic or polycarbonate with an ABS base and housing, features an opal polycarbonate diffuser that spreads a soft, even light — directing part of the illumination downward onto the base, which is designed to reflect it back upward. With an upper diameter of 250 mm and a total height of 346 mm, the Panthella 250 V3 Portable stands out for its organic, enveloping silhouette, a timeless symbol of Scandinavian design.

Thanks to its portable nature and IP44 protection rating, the lamp adapts effortlessly to a variety of settings, from the living room to the bedroom, resting on windowsills, shelves or tables without requiring a nearby power outlet. The 6W LED source at 2700K delivers 456 lm of warm white light with a CRI90 colour rendering index, ensuring natural colours and a welcoming atmosphere. When fully charged, the lamp provides approximately 5.5 hours of light at maximum intensity (100%) and up to 79 hours at 10% intensity, with an average LED lifespan of 50,000 hours. Charging is carried out via the included 2.5 m USB-C cable, compatible with a standard USB adapter (not included), and the lamp supports voltages for EU, AUD, USA, UK and JAP. The two 6400 mAh Li-Po batteries are rechargeable and replaceable at end of life, ensuring long-term usability. Brightness adjustment and on/off control are managed through the switch on the top nut of the reflector. The Panthella 250 V3 Portable is available in a wide range of finishes, with either an opal or opaque screen: the opal screen version diffuses a gentle, uniform ambient glow throughout the room, while the opaque screen version directs light downward with a more focused and refined effect, thanks to the white interior shading that reflects light along the entire structure.
