Louis Poulsen LP Nest led Post top light head for Outdoor

Louis Poulsen LP Nest is an LED post top light head for outdoor use, designed in 2010 by Bystrup Architects for the Danish brand Louis Poulsen. The design draws inspiration from natural forms: as the designers themselves described, "the shade grows from the trunk like the stylistic crown of a tree, a filigree pattern that mimics the bare trees of winter." The structure features a die-cast aluminium frame, a spun aluminium upper screen, an anodised aluminium reflector and a transparent glass screen, available in textured aluminium and textured graphite finishes.

Thanks to its indirect and symmetrical light emission, the LP Nest creates a fascinating interplay of reflections within its circular canopy, spreading a soft, glare-free light perfectly suited to outdoor spaces such as gardens, walkways, parks and urban areas. The integrated 34W LED source is available in two colour temperatures: 3000K (warm light, luminous flux 2842 lm, efficiency 84 lm/W) and 4000K (neutral light, luminous flux 2915 lm, efficiency 86 lm/W). The fixture is equipped with a DALI + CLO (Constant Lumen Output) system, enabling precise dimming control and maintaining a stable luminous flux over time by compensating for the natural degradation of the LED source. The IP66 protection rating ensures full resistance to dust and powerful water jets, while Insulation Class I guarantees electrical safety. A CRI80 colour rendering index ensures accurate colour reproduction in the surrounding environment. The installation cable is 5 metres long. The post top head measures 750 mm in diameter and 330 mm in height; when mounted on a 4000 mm pole (not included, with a connection diameter of D. 15 mm), the total installation height reaches 4330 mm. The installation pole is not included in the supply.
