Louis Poulsen Flindt 1100 led bollard

Louis Poulsen Flindt Bollard 1100 is an outdoor LED bollard designed by Christian Flindt in 2011, originally conceived to illuminate a park area in Denmark. Louis Poulsen later developed the concept into a standard product, refining light distribution, energy efficiency and overall design quality. The top, reflector and pole are crafted from die-cast aluminium, a material that ensures structural durability and weather resistance, backed by an IP65 protection rating. The outcome is a sculptural bollard that balances simplicity and sophistication, blending seamlessly into any outdoor setting.

The Flindt Bollard 1100 is designed to enhance gardens, terraces and outdoor living spaces, where lighting quality plays a crucial role in creating the right nocturnal atmosphere. The light emission is directed downwards on one side of the bollard: the flared opening generates a luminous pattern that covers almost 180°, providing even and evocative ground illumination. Two 15 W COB LED sources are housed at the top of the fixture and shielded from direct view for effective glare control. A colour temperature of 3000 K (warm white), a CRI80 colour rendering index and an average lifespan of 45,000 hours ensure pleasant, long-lasting light. The integrated driver is compatible with 100–240 V input voltage, making the product suitable for installations across Europe, the USA, Australia, the UK and Japan.

The Flindt Bollard 1100 is available in two finishes — textured aluminium and corten — and in two mounting versions. The fixing plate version features an extruded aluminium base with a diameter of 280 mm; the overall height is 1100 mm with a pole diameter of 15 mm. In the aluminium finish it delivers 578 lm at an efficacy of 39 lm/W, while the corten finish provides 536 lm at 36 lm/W. In the anchoring unit version, the bollard is set 310 mm underground, with the same above-ground height of 1100 mm and an identical pole diameter of 15 mm; luminous flux and efficacy values remain the same for each respective finish. Insulation class I and IP65 weatherproofing complete a technical profile engineered for safe, lasting outdoor installation.
