The Enigma 545 lamp, designed by the Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama in 2007, expands the Enigma product family. This lamp is made up of five acrylic lampshades that diffuse the light and create an almost three-dimensional reflection, giving the illusion of floating in the room. The name enigma stands for "mystery" and refers to the floating screens that appear to hover when illuminated and viewed from a distance. The design of the lamp was in tune with Louis Poulsen's product philosophy and was also a new interpretation of the multi-screen system, where Japanese elegance was combined with Scandinavian simplicity. This lamp expands the decorative possibilities of the design and creates a serene and atmospheric visual effect, while the light is modeled and channeled. It has a power of 40W with a GU10 socket, with a temperature of 3000K (warm white light) and a luminous flux of 400lm, dimmable.
