Louis Poulsen Enigma 425 Suspension Ceiling Lamp with Screens

Louis Poulsen Enigma 425 is a suspension ceiling lamp designed by Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama in 2007, part of the iconic Enigma family by Danish brand Louis Poulsen. Its structure consists of four acrylic screens mounted on a cone and suspension rod in brushed aluminum, lacquered or liquid-painted, with a stainless steel cable. The result is a lighting object of almost intangible beauty: the screens appear to hover in the air, creating a near three-dimensional reflection and giving the illusion of floating in space. The name Enigma itself evokes the mystery of these floating planes, which seem suspended in mid-air when illuminated and observed from a distance.

The design philosophy behind this lamp merges Japanese elegance with Scandinavian simplicity, perfectly aligned with the values of Louis Poulsen: light shaped, channeled and distributed with intention.
