Iconic lamp created by Architects Toso & Massari, now in the limited and special edition for the 50th anniversary of Aella. Aella Openworked is a tabletop version inspired by "skeletonized" Swiss watches where the beauty and complexity of the mechanics are exposed rather than hidden. "Openworked" enhances the timeless elegance of this lamp and at the same time distinguishes it from the 1968 edition with an innovative, self-confident design that does not hesitate to show itself without veils.
With a delicate and airy aesthetic, the lamp features a transparent hand-blown glass diffuser with a white paste color spot. The size and intensity of the stain depend on the skillful touch of the master glassmaker who, each time, will create unique, original pieces, never the same as each other: from here we understand how each diffuser is an original piece branded LEUCOS. The transparent base provides a unique perspective of the essence of the light source. Collected inside a borosilicate glass cylinder, two stems in raw natural copper, which over time will oxidize and acquire a unique and distinctive patina. The stems serve both as a support for the COB and as conductive channels for the electrical wires that will energize the diffused and soft light of the LED (2700K or 3000K). The use of copper symbolizes a changeable and unpredictable design that is not afraid of the passing of time. Under the base, a brushed stainless steel plate with laser engraving shows the name of the lamp, the year of production, its serial number, the designers' signature and the LEUCOS spot logo.
