Kartell Teatime tray

Kartell Teatime is the design tray by Philippe Starck, crafted in recycled and metallized PMMA. The project draws inspiration from crochet fretwork and precious embroidery of the past, reinterpreting them through a high-tech, sustainable material. Teatime marks the first Kartell product to use recycled PMMA on transparent productions: the material is largely derived from the depolymerization of industrial plastic waste and maintains aesthetic quality and structural properties comparable to virgin PMMA, giving new life to discarded materials and turning them into lasting design icons. The tray measures 43.5 x 33 cm, with a thickness of 4.1 cm and a weight of 1.3 kg.

Familiar and understated, the Teatime tray is designed to enhance the living room or the kitchen with a decorative accessory of poetic character and strong visual identity. The metallized finish enhances the intricate fretwork pattern, making it a refined complement in any domestic setting. Not suitable for dishwasher use.
