Karman Moby Dick suspension lamp

Karman Moby Dick is a outdoor suspension lamp designed by Matteo Ugolini for Karman, conceived in 2013 as a true suspended luminous sculpture. Crafted entirely from white fiberglass, its soft, elongated silhouette evokes the profile of a whale: the diffuser is smooth on the outside and left natural on the inside, generating a play of light and shadow with an almost organic quality. Fitted with an E26-E27 lampholder and powered by a 20 W LED source with a universal voltage range of 100-240 V, it delivers a soft, diffused light emission that envelops the surrounding space. The bulb is included in the package.

Thanks to its IP44 protection rating and Class II insulation, Moby Dick is designed to withstand outdoor conditions, making it perfect for outdoor settings such as gardens, terraces, poolsides and open-air social spaces, while adapting with equal elegance to indoor environments. Its sculptural silhouette harmonises naturally with both minimal and more eclectic or classic interiors, enhancing laid tables and conversation areas alike. The canopy is not included but available as an optional accessory on request. Moby Dick comes in two sizes: the Small version measures 82×24×27 cm and weighs 3.8 kg, while the Large version reaches 146×47×51 cm with a weight of 7.3 kg, offering an even more striking visual presence. The lamp is not dimmable.
