Karman Moby Dick indoor suspension lamp

Karman Moby Dick is an indoor suspension lamp designed by Matteo Ugolini for Karman in 2013. Crafted entirely from white fiberglass, this pendant light stands out for its soft, elongated silhouette that evokes the profile of a whale: the outer surface is smooth and polished, while the interior is left in its natural texture, creating a captivating visual contrast. Moby Dick is a true suspended sculpture that combines formal research with luminous function, delivering diffused light that gently envelops the surrounding space in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Thanks to its sculptural design and the soft light filtering through the fiberglass body, Moby Dick adapts effortlessly to a wide range of residential and contract settings, from the living room to the bedroom, as well as dining areas and open-plan spaces. It suits both minimal and more classic or colourful interiors, enhancing every decorative context. The lamp features an E26-E27 lampholder compatible with LED sources up to a maximum of 70 W, operates on a universal voltage of 100-240 V, and is rated Insulation Class II with a protection degree of IP20 for indoor use. It is not dimmable and the light bulb is not included. The white canopy is included, with a 2 m cable. Moby Dick is available in two sizes: the Small version measures 82x24x27 cm, weighs 3.8 kg, and supports an LED E27 source up to 70 W, while the Large version measures 146x47x51 cm, weighs 7.3 kg, and supports an LED E27 source up to 105 W.
