Karman Filomena led hanging-floor suspension lamp

Filomena by Karman is a hanging floor-to-ceiling suspension lamp designed by Matteo Ugolini in 2021, combining minimalist aesthetics with refined elegance. Crafted entirely in aluminium, the lamp is built around an 8-metre black cable that runs from the floor, travels along interior walls, reaches the ceiling and descends suspended with one or two luminous cones. The system includes two black aluminium diverters, to be fixed on walls and ceilings to freely define the wire path, while the power supply unit — measuring Ø 8×22 cm — can be installed either exposed or recessed.

Filomena is available in three distinct models, each with different emission characteristics. Model 1 features a Ø 8×7 cm cone with an 8.4W LED source delivering 907 lm of direct downward light. Model 2 offers a larger Ø 11×10 cm cone, a 16.8W LED and 1821 lm, also with direct emission. Model 3 combines both cones — a lower one of Ø 8×7 cm and an upper one of Ø 11×10 cm — providing dual diffused emission, both downward and upward, for an enveloping and balanced lighting effect. The integrated LED operates at 24V, is compatible with 100–240V input voltage and delivers a colour rendering index greater than 90, with a colour temperature of 2700K or 3000K. Brightness is controlled via a trailing edge/leading edge phase-cut dimmer (TRIAC/IGBT), ensuring smooth and precise light adjustment. The IP20 protection rating restricts its use to indoor environments. Thanks to its sculptural presence and high-quality light output, Filomena is perfectly suited for the living room, the bedroom and contract spaces such as hotels, boutiques and design-led venues, where the lamp becomes an architectural and scenographic element in its own right.
