Karman Black Out suspension lamp

Black Out is the suspension lamp by Karman, designed in 2015 by Matteo Ugolini. The cap-shaped shade, crafted in fiberglass, gently filters light to produce a soft, diffused glow that envelops any room with warmth and elegance. Available in two matte finishes — white and black — and in two sizes, the Small version measuring Ø 350 mm with a height of 400 mm and the Medium version at Ø 500 mm with a height of 600 mm, Black Out features a truly distinctive detail: a white ceramic counterweight that descends from the centre of the shade and can optionally double as a candle holder, adding a scenic and intimate touch to the space.

Black Out is designed to enhance interior spaces with ambient light and a bold contemporary aesthetic, making it an excellent choice for both the living room and the bedroom. The suspension cable, extending to over 2 metres in length, allows for great flexibility in installation and height adjustment. The lamp uses an E26-E27 lampholder, compatible with LED sources, with a maximum power of 53W per socket in the Small version and up to three 53W sockets in the Medium version. The lamp is not dimmable and operates on a universal input voltage of 100-240 V. No bulb is included. The IP20 protection rating restricts use to indoor environments only. The included canopy has a diameter of Ø 120 mm, and the lamp carries an Insulation Class I rating.
