Karman Black Out outdoor suspension

Karman Black Out is an outdoor suspension lamp designed by Matteo Ugolini in 2015, featuring a distinctive cap-shaped lampshade crafted in fiberglass. Available in two matte finishes — white and black — and in two sizes (Small Ø 350x400 mm and Medium Ø 500x600 mm), Black Out delivers diffused light that filters gently through the shade, creating a warm and visually striking atmosphere. The E26/E27 lampholder is compatible with LED sources, and the input voltage range of 100–240 V ensures international compatibility.

With an IP65 protection rating and insulation class II, Black Out is specifically designed to withstand outdoor conditions, making it an excellent choice for outdoor spaces such as terraces, gardens, and open-air areas. The suspension cable extends up to 5 metres, offering considerable installation flexibility even in complex architectural settings. The lamp is not dimmable and does not include a light source, which must be selected separately in E26/E27 LED format. A distinctive feature of the indoor version is a white ceramic counterweight at the centre of the shade, which also serves as a candle holder — available exclusively on interior variants — adding an even more theatrical decorative touch.
