Karman Amsterdam wall lamp

Karman Amsterdam is a wall lamp designed by Matteo Ugolini for Karman, part of the brand's acclaimed animalistic collection. Provocative and original, the sculpture depicts a bulldog that has torn the fabric cables from which three E26-E27 lamp holders hang. The structure is entirely crafted in ceramic, available in a white or grey finish: the bulldog's angry, mischievous head emerges from a circular wall base, with sculptural details — from its coat to its collar — of remarkable expressiveness. Designed in 2019, Amsterdam stands out for its strong personality, transforming every light source into a genuine design statement.

The three LED light sources of up to 10 W each emit a diffused and direct light, illuminating spaces in a soft and relaxing way — in ironic contrast to the dog's growling gaze. Amsterdam adapts naturally to a wide range of settings: it is a perfect choice for the living room or the bedroom, where it can accompany mirrors, furniture and shelves with unmistakable character. Its playful yet contemporary aesthetic also makes it ideal for hospitality environments, bars, bistros and venues with a modern and refined design sensibility. With dimensions of Ø41×25 cm, the lamp features a protection rating of IP20 for indoor use only, insulation class I and compatibility with input voltages of 100–240 V (EU, USA, UK, Australia, Japan). The lamp is not dimmable. E26-E27 bulbs are not included; the use of plastic bulbs is recommended.
