Description
Bulb is Ingo Maurer's great classic, his first creation, designed in 1966. Made of polished chrome metal and hand-blown Murano glass, this iconic lamp celebrates the shape of the light bulb itself, enhancing it with elegance and irony. In 1969, Bulb became part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, testifying to its historical value and impact on the world of contemporary design. In the photo, Bulb is pictured in front of the building at Kaiserstrasse 47 in Munich, once the site of our factory outlet and now transformed into the Passaparola Pizzeria. The official Ingo Maurer showroom in Munich is still located at the same address, but at the rear, across the inner courtyard.
