Gufram Steam Table coffee table

Steam Table coffee table, Gufram and Studio Job once again rewrite the rules of design, challenging perception, proportion and matter. Composed of two elements, a pot that seems to have come out of an ancient alchemical forge and a cloud of smoke that transforms into a table top, this small table is a visionary object, suspended between art and functionality. At the base, a glazed ceramic pot, shining in shades of bronze and gold, evokes mythical and imaginary worlds. A vaporous ‘smoke’ emanates from it, sculpted in Gufram's typical soft polyurethane and hand-finished with Guflac: a material that gives life to fluid and unexpected forms, as if suspended in time and space. Steam Table is not just a coffee table: it is a concrete illusion, a functional sculpture, a piece of domestic theatre.
