Pietre by Gufram, designed by the duo Soft Baroque – Saša Štucin and Nicholas Gardner – is a sculptural piece that blends art, design, and architectural inspiration into a striking statement. Conceived as a coffee table but also usable as a seat, Pietre offers an ironic and poetic interpretation of nature’s evocative power, perfectly aligned with the tradition of Italian radical design.

The inspiration comes from the remains of an ancient Bourbon arch in ruins along the Riviera of Naples, shaped over time by weather and erosion into a cluster of rounded, almost surreal stones. From this vision emerges an object with a strong visual identity, evoking a domestic landscape suspended between memory, sculpture, and experimentation.

Made of polyurethane finished with Guflac, Gufram’s iconic material, Pietre reproduces the look of large smoothed stones seemingly stacked in a visually unstable balance. The result is a piece that is both monumental and playful, in dialogue with historic Gufram icons such as Sassi and Massolo by Piero Gilardi.

Available in the refined Basalt Grey finish, Pietre balances strong visual impact with aesthetic versatility. Bolder versions such as Sulphur Yellow and Sandstone Red enhance its pop and experimental character, making it a true focal point in any space.
