Gufram God Cactus coat hanger Limited Edition

Gufram GOD Cactus Limited Edition is a polyurethane coat hanger, born from the collaboration between designers Drocco and Mello — the original creators of the iconic Cactus in 1972 — and TOILETPAPER, the editorial project by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. Green and monumental at 170×110×70 cm, GOD reinterprets the celebrated Cactus coat hanger from Gufram's Multipli collection by introducing an unexpected element: eggs, a symbol of fertility and regeneration, transforming a design icon into a new, irreverent deity.

From an attempt to destroy a false idol, something even more mythical is born: GOD graced the cover of TOILETPAPER and, in a six-metre inflatable version, floated through the canals of Venice for the 2015 Biennale. This numbered piece belongs to the very first ten examples of the Limited Edition and forms part of the permanent collections of institutions such as the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and the Beyeler Foundation in Basel. An extraordinary collector's object for the living room, capable of turning any space into a statement of contemporary design.
