Foscarini Light bulb is a LED table lamp designed by James Wine for Foscarini in 2018, blending irony and design in a sophisticated interplay of shapes and meanings. The light body is crafted from mouth-blown glass, with an unmistakable bulb silhouette that reinterprets the universal icon of the light bulb in a contemporary key. The White Bulb version celebrates this archetypal form, while Black Light subverts it entirely: here the lampholder emits light, while the bulb remains deliberately unlit, becoming a visual symbol of an idea turned upside down. The luminous flux is channeled through a PMMA cylinder inside the bulb, and the structure is completed by an aluminum base. The integrated 3W LED delivers diffused, warm light at 2700K with a color rendering index greater than 80, ensuring enveloping, high-quality illumination. The compact dimensions — H150 x ØD140mm — and a net weight of 0.80 kg make it easy to place in any setting.
