Foscarini Hoba suspension lamp

Foscarini Hoba is a suspension lamp designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba for Foscarini, inspired by the eponymous meteorite discovered in Namibia in 1920. Its asymmetrical and irregular shape is the result of mouth-blown opal glass, formed without rotation in an open mould and then treated with a careful acid-etching process — a craft technique that makes each piece subtly unique, even within a series production. The acid-etched blown glass diffuser, combined with ABS components, emits diffused, warm and enveloping light, finished in white with a transparent cable. Compatible with input voltages from 100 to 240 V, it carries an IP20 degree of protection.

With its refined aesthetic and the intimate atmosphere created by its diffused glow, the Hoba suits effortlessly a living room or a bedroom, whether used alone or grouped in multi-lamp compositions. It is available in four sizes: Small (130×120×130 mm, G9 lamp holder, max 8W, bulb not included, not dimmable), Midi (190×190×190 mm, 5.5W E14, 806 lm at 2700K, CRI >80, dimmable, LED included), Medium (240×250×240 mm, 20W E27, 2451 lm at 2700K, CRI >80, dimmable, LED included) and Large (360×360×360 mm, 20W E27, 2451 lm at 2700K, CRI >80, dimmable, LED included). The Small and Midi versions feature a self-supporting cable, while the Medium and Large versions use a steel cable with a transparent electrical cord. A 10-metre suspension cable length is available upon request. Ceiling roses for multiple configurations are not included and must be purchased separately.
