Fontana Arte Uovo table lamp

Fontana Arte Uovo is an iconic table lamp designed in 1972 by Ben Swildens for FontanaArte. Its egg-shaped form — a timeless symbol of perfection — blends symmetry and asymmetry in an surprisingly natural balance. The diffuser is crafted in white satin blown glass, delivering a warm, enveloping light distributed evenly throughout the space. The base is in metal, while the power cord, switch and plug are black. Compatible with LED or halogen light sources with an E26/E27 lampholder, the lamp meets international voltage standards (100–240 V), making it suitable for multiple markets including Europe, USA, Australia and Japan. Bulb not included.

Uovo stands as a decorative piece that merges sculpture and light, ideal for the living room, the bedroom or a study, where the aesthetic quality of the piece takes centre stage. The lamp is available in three sizes. The small version stands 28 cm tall with a diameter of 18 cm; it features an E27 lampholder and is not dimmable, with a recommended bulb of LED 5.5 W or halogen 30 W. The medium version reaches a height of 44 cm and a diameter of 27 cm; it is dimmable with the included dimmer, with a recommended bulb of LED 10.5 W or halogen 70 W. The large version, 62 cm tall and 43 cm in diameter, also includes a dimmer function, with a recommended bulb of LED 14 W or halogen 100 W. All versions carry an IP20 protection rating and insulation class II.
