Fontana Arte IO Adjustable Wall LED Applique

FontanaArte IO is an adjustable double-emission LED wall applique, designed by the Swedish trio Claesson Koivisto Rune in 2015. Shaped like a small curved lunar disc, IO stands out for its elegant and radically minimal design: the painted metal frame remains almost suspended, extremely close to the wall but never quite touching it, so that light caresses it with a delicate grazing effect. The double-axis rotation frame is the technical heart of the project: it allows the diffuser to rotate 360° and tilt up and down, opening and closing the light beam to suit the needs of any environment.

IO is conceived to provide the most personal and adaptable light possible. The integrated LED source 2 x 4.5W at 2700K, with a CRI greater than 90, delivers warm, colour-accurate light with a total output of 2 x 350 lm. The Triac phase-cut dimmer allows precise control of light intensity, adjusting the atmosphere to every moment of the day. The IP40 protection rating makes it suitable for environments with slight humidity. Compatible with voltages from 100 to 240V (EU, USA, UK, AUD, JAP), IO is a truly universal solution. Its ideal placement is beside the bed in the bedroom, but its versatility makes it equally effective on the walls of an office or in the living room. Its compact dimensions — 10.5 x 16.5 cm — allow easy integration in any context. IO is available in Red, Blue and Dark Grey finishes, alongside the new 2024 finishes Gold, Paintable White and Bronze. The lamp has received international recognition: Best of Year Honoree 2016, Archiproducts Design Awards Best of Category and ADI Design Index.
