Fontana Arte Flute Large Floor Lamp in Glass

Fontana Arte Flute Large is a glass floor lamp designed by Franco Raggi in 1991 for FontanaArte, a true icon of contemporary Italian design. In 2001 it was selected for the Compasso d'Oro Award and won the Marie Claire Diploma VI Prix d'excellence — accolades that confirm its enduring aesthetic and design significance. The lamp features an elegant stem in transparent borosilicate glass supporting a cone-shaped reflector in polished chromed aluminium, held in place by three chromed arms. The base and reflector support are crafted in chromed metal, ensuring a refined formal consistency throughout. Light is directed inside the cone and diffused indirectly upwards, generating a soft and enveloping ambient glow.

With a total height of 2100 mm and a base diameter of 320 mm, the Flute Large asserts itself as a sculptural yet balanced presence, perfectly suited to elevate the atmosphere of a living room. The R7S lampholder accepts LED or halogen light sources (not included), with a maximum power of 230W. The lamp is dimmable via a sliding cursor integrated into the transparent power cord, which together with the schuko-type plug preserves the lamp's visual lightness. The input voltage is 100-240 V, compatible with major international standards (EU, AUD, USA, UK, JAP), and insulation class II ensures safe operation. Rated IP20, the Flute Large is designed for indoor use. It is also available in a smaller height and in further configurations within the FontanaArte Flute product family.
