The historic Daruma table lamp, designed by Sergio Asti in 1968, consists of a globe that serves as a support base surmounted by a small cap that houses the light source (not included), made of glossy white blown glass. The difference in thickness of the glass between the two elements creates a different shade of color between the lower and the upper part, which makes Daruma an original and impactful lamp even when switched off. It is currently exposed at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
