Flos The Micro Running Magnet surface profile is an ultra-miniaturised electromechanical profile by Flos Architectural, manufactured in extruded aluminium in white or black finishes. Designed for surface mounting on ceilings or walls, this profile is part of the modular The Micro Running Magnet system — the definitive solution for display lighting and for any context where architectural discretion is a primary requirement. The integrated electrical circuit is powered at 24V DC and allows compatible LED light modules to be installed via a convenient magnetic fixing system, with no tools required.

With its exceptionally compact geometry — 9 mm wide and 14 mm tall — the profile integrates elegantly into any architectural setting, merging with the structure and leaving room for light alone. Magnetically mounted luminaires can be oriented and repositioned at any time, offering outstanding flexibility in lighting configuration. The system is ideal for galleries, retail environments and museum spaces, but also suits high-quality residential applications, enhancing a living room or contract space with sophisticated, technically advanced lighting solutions. The IP20 protection rating restricts use to indoor installations.

The profile is available in three lengths: 1 metre, 1.5 metres and 2 metres; lengths of 2500 mm and 3000 mm are available on request. The system operates at 24V DC with a maximum capacity of 5A and 120W per segment: once this limit is reached, a new connection via a dedicated power profile is required to prevent overloading. The remote power supply unit is not included and must be ordered separately. PWM voltage regulators can be used at a frequency of 250–500 Hz; in certain installation types, the dimming system may produce a faint audible buzz.

Dimming control is achieved exclusively via a remote driver, with three available options: DALI for broadcast dimming of all units in a group, 1/10V with the same collective control functionality, or Casambi, which enables both broadcast and individual control through the dedicated Flos Control application, available on the App Store and Google Play.

Accessories available for system composition include the 90° angle connector, internal corner, power connector, intermediate connector and closing terminal. Compatible light modules include Light Stripe Diffused, Light Stripe Wall-Washer, Nano Spot, Micro Spot and Spot. All optical systems and connection elements must be ordered separately.
