Flos The Block Of Light is a LED semi-recessed wall spotlight designed by Knud Holscher for Flos Architectural. Crafted in aluminum, its compact body — 150 mm in height, 75 mm in width, and 47 mm in depth — expresses a discreet and essential design, conceived to integrate seamlessly into vertical surfaces with a clean architectural finish. The integrated LED source rated at 2.2 W operates on a constant current of 700 mA with the driver included, delivering stable and long-lasting illumination at 3000 K warm white and a CRI 80 colour rendering index.

With an IP65 protection rating, The Block Of Light is suitable for both indoor settings and outdoor applications, making it an ideal choice for passageways, staircases, entrances, and façades. The asymmetric 45° optic with direct and indirect light emission distributes light precisely and evenly across surfaces, enhancing architectural details and materials without glare. The universal input voltage of 100-240 V simplifies installation in any context, and the 500 mm power cable is included. The fixture is not dimmable. The frame for plasterboard installation is included; the frame for concrete installation is available separately as an accessory. Available in matt white, matt black, and grey finishes.
