Flos Seki-Han floor lamp

Flos Seki-Han is a floor lamp designed by Tobia Scarpa, originally created in 1963 and featured in the Flos catalogue until 1966. Its structure consists of two vertical ash wood blades joined by chromed metal connectors, enclosing a tubular integrated LED light source. The wood is precision-cut using CNC milling technology in Northern Italy and treated with a special thermal process that dries the wood fibers, preventing deformation over time — ensuring that every piece is uniquely individual in its natural character. The name pays homage to "seki han", the red rice dish prepared in Japan for life's most special celebrations.

In the 2025 re-edition, the two blades — originally fixed and symmetrical — are now mounted on a mechanism that allows them to move and rotate around the lamp's central body, making the light emission adjustable and no longer symmetrical. Even when the blades are fully closed, a thin beam of light remains visible. At 185 cm in total height, Seki-Han commands a sculptural presence that interacts with its surroundings. The light is dimmable via a foot dimmer, with a power consumption of 22 W, a colour temperature of 2700 K warm white, and a colour rendering index above 90. IP20 rated for indoor use, compatible with EU, USA, UK, AUS and JAP voltages. Seki-Han is an exceptional design statement for the living room or any refined residential interior.
