Flos Parentesi Dimmer Nickel is one of the most celebrated icons of Italian industrial design, created by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù for Flos. The lamp takes its name from the steel tube shaped like a parenthesis, the central and ingenious element that slides vertically along a steel cable stretched between ceiling and floor, allowing the light source to be repositioned with a simple press of the hand. A true manifesto of the form=function principle, Parentesi won the Compasso d'Oro in 1979 and is today exhibited at the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale.

This Nickel finish version is fully dimmable: an electronic dimmer integrated on the cable allows step-by-step adjustment of light intensity to suit any mood or time of day.
