Flos Mayday Indoor portable or table lamp

Flos Mayday Indoor is the portable and table lamp designed by Konstantin Grcic for Flos in 1999, with the stated goal of "being able to be useful whenever you need light". Inspired by work lamps — also known as emergency lamps — Mayday transcends every typological definition: it is not a table, floor, pendant or wall lamp, but all of these things at once. Made entirely of recycled polypropylene through injection moulding and assembled without glue to ensure full recyclability, it features a translucent opaline diffuser with a distinctive conical shape that spreads a soft, enveloping light.

Designed not for a specific place but for both expected and unexpected situations, Mayday Indoor adapts effortlessly to the living room, the bedroom or the office, thanks to its hook-handle that allows it to be placed anywhere. The on/off switch is integrated into the handle, while the 5-metre cable further extends its versatility. Compatible with an LED E26-E27 source up to 60W (bulb not included), with IP20 indoor protection, dimensions Ø220 mm and height 530 mm, and universal voltage 100-240V. For its remarkable versatility, Mayday received the prestigious ADI Compasso d'Oro award in 2001.
