Flos MAAP wall lamp

Maap is a lamp designed by Erwan Bouroullec that brings together fundamental concepts despite being radically simple and inherently complex. It is a wall lamp composed of a lighting element equipped with four LED bulbs and a circular wall-mounted back plate that magnetically secures the lamp body, an unusual casing made of Tyvek, a lightweight, tear-resistant material known for its durability and ability to evolve over time. Once crumpled (manually and freely), it takes on unique and organic shapes, offering users complete creative freedom to shape and configure its appearance. The Tyvek casing is attached to the metal structure using large magnetic buttons (Dots), aligned with magnetic points at each light source. Beyond their functional role, the Dots become an additional expressive detail.

Maap has a strong visual impact; like a large cloud, it diffuses light across a wide surface, as the source does not appear to come from a single point but from the entire illuminated area. It is available in three different models, each of which can be installed without following a specific rule (horizontal, vertical, angled, etc.), with the possibility of combining the three models to create a large, elegant lighting composition. It is suitable for installation exclusively in indoor (non-humid) environments. EAC connectors are integrated in each unit for direct electrical connection, but power can also be supplied via cable and plug integrated.
