Flos In Vitro Rod 2 suspension lamp

Flos In Vitro Rod 2 is a outdoor suspension lamp designed by Philippe Starck for Flos Outdoor, conceived to deliver uniform diffused light in exterior environments. The lamp head integrates an opal diffuser paired with a transparent borosilicate protective glass, while the structural parts are crafted in die-cast and extruded aluminum, treated with a chemical conversion process to ensure outstanding resistance to weathering. The body is powder-coated and available in 7 different finishes, making it adaptable to any architectural context.

With a protection rating of IP66, In Vitro Rod 2 is perfectly suited for outdoor installations such as terraces, pergolas, gardens and exterior areas of both residential and contract buildings, bringing refined contemporary design to every outdoor space. The lamp is installed via a rod system with a rod length of 390 mm and a Ø25 mm diameter; the ceiling canopy, included in the supply (Ø150×35 mm), integrates the on/off power supply. The integrated 13 W LED light source delivers 1378 lm at 2700K or 1474 lm at 3000K, with a 111° beam angle and a colour rendering index of CRI 80. The driver is built in and the lamp is not dimmable. Overall body dimensions are: height 425 mm, diameter Ø175 mm. Input voltage is 220–240 V, compatible with international standards including EU, AUS, USA, UK and JAP.
