Flos In Vitro Bollard is an outdoor floor lamp designed by Philippe Starck for Flos Outdoor. Its structure is made of die-cast and extruded aluminium, treated with a chemical conversion process that ensures outstanding resistance to atmospheric agents. The powder-coated body is available in a range of finishes — Anthracite, Black, White, Forest Green, Pale Green, Terracotta and Brown — making it versatile for any architectural context.

Designed to enhance outdoor spaces such as gardens, terraces, pathways and public areas, In Vitro Bollard combines refined aesthetics with high technical performance. The integrated LED light source uses Edge Lighting optical technology to achieve perfectly uniform light distribution, delivering 714 net lumens with a beam angle of 111°, a colour temperature of 3000 K (warm white) and a colour rendering index of CRI 80. The electronic driver is integrated into the fixture and supports DALI dimming; the power supply is compatible with voltages from 100 to 240 V (EU, AUS, USA, UK, JAP), with an absorption of just 11 W. A 110 V dimmable version with 2700 K or 3000 K light is available on request. The IP66 protection rating and insulation class I ensure maximum reliability even in adverse weather conditions. With a base diameter of 155 mm, the fixture can be installed on any flooring surface using anchors, or with a concrete plinth via formwork (to be ordered separately). A watertight connector for mains connection is included. It is recommended to use a connection system with a protection rating equal to or greater than IP66, and to install a surge protection device on the electrical system to preserve the fixture's long-term integrity.
