Flos Casting C 150 outdoor bollard

Flos Casting C 150 is an outdoor bollard designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Flos Outdoor, bringing the same rigorous architectural logic to garden and exterior lighting. The C-shaped profile gives the body a precise, sculptural presence, in which the form itself clearly reveals the direction of light emission. The structure is made of extruded aluminium, with a base and diffuser in EN AB-47100 die-cast aluminium with a low copper content, while the glass diffuser is bonded to the heat sink to ensure perfect water tightness. The external coating follows the QUALICOAT standard with a double powder layer: the first in epoxy resin for chemical and mechanical resistance, the second for protection against UV rays and weathering agents. The product is supplied with a neoprene cable outlet.

Designed to enhance gardens, pathways, terraces and design-oriented exterior spaces, the Casting C 150 is available in three height versions — 250 mm, 500 mm and 850 mm — with a width of 150 x 150 mm, to suit a variety of design and compositional requirements in outdoor settings. The 12 W LED source with a colour temperature of 3000 K warm white and a CRI 80 colour rendering index delivers a warm and natural light, with a direct asymmetrical emission and a 55° beam angle, ideal for guiding the eye and shaping architectural surfaces. The driver is included and the system operates on a universal input voltage of 100–240 V, compatible with EU, USA, UK, Australian and Japanese standards. Insulation class II and a protection rating of IP65 ensure full reliability in adverse weather conditions. The use of a connection system with a protection degree equal to or greater than that of the luminaire is recommended, as is the installation of a surge protection device on the electrical system to preserve the integrity of the LED source over time.
