Flos Biagio table lamp

Refined historical piece signed by Tobia Scarpa in 1968 designed for Flos. The Biagio table lamp is made from a single block of white Carrara marble, modeled to obtain perfect and sinuous lines. With over 7 kg of weight, it is a luminous object out of the ordinary and important despite the passage of time. Clearly inspired by the precious material used and its expressive potential, the design is oriented towards refined sculptural and anthropomorphic forms. In this case, the boundary between lamp and ornamental object is extremely blurred: while the smooth surfaces of the marble stand out and shine in the daylight, the effect changes when it is accompanied by the light source placed inside. The designs and natural veins of the marble acquire relief and change for each piece, making it unique and unrepeatable.

In close collaboration with Scarpa and with the utmost respect for his original designs, Flos presents the Biagio Onyx Edition, a super limited series of just 100 pieces of the famous 1968 marble table lamp, crafted in honey-colored onyx; alongside it, a contemporary re-edition of the striking Seki-Han floor lamp, now updated with a new tubular light source.
