Flos Arco LED Floor Lamp – Italian Design Icon for Interiors

The Flos Arco lamp in its LED version is a timeless icon of interior design lighting. Designed in 1962 by the masters Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Arco is the most celebrated and imitated direct-light floor lamp in the history of contemporary design.

Design and Materials

Arco LED is crafted from premium materials: the solid white Carrara marble base, refined yet substantial, acts as a counterweight to support the large metal arch. The extendable telescopic stem in satin-finished stainless steel allows height adjustment, while the adjustable reflector in stamped, polished and zapponato aluminium enables precise direction of the light beam.

The hole drilled into the centre of gravity of the marble base is not merely an aesthetic detail: it is an ingenious solution conceived by the Castiglioni brothers to make it easy to move the lamp by simply inserting a broom handle through it.

Lighting Performance

The LED version is equipped with a 28W Multichip LED source with a 2700 Kelvin colour temperature (warm white), ideal for creating welcoming atmospheres. The 1124 lumen output ensures effective and comfortable illumination. Thanks to the included dimmer, brightness can be adjusted to suit any need. The package includes a kit with interchangeable plugs for use in different countries.

The Flos Arco LED lamp features a total height of 2,400 mm and a 320 mm diameter reflector, supported by the Carrara marble base measuring 240 x 550 mm, which guarantees stability and perfect balance of the long steel arm. The 2,700 mm power cable makes positioning easy even when far from the wall socket, while the adjustable and height-regulating reflector allows the light output to be tailored to every design requirement.
