Flos Arco Lamp – An Icon of Italian Interior Design

Designed in 1962 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Arco is a brilliant lamp, a made in Italy  timeless icon among the most imitated and admired in the history of design, capable of inspiring countless interpretations over the years. An insight that Flos believed in from the very first moment, transforming it into a "timeless classic" and one of the best-selling products ever in the world of design lighting.

This visionary project, a perfect synthesis of ingenuity, simplicity, and elegance, was born from a practical need: to bring light directly onto the table, with the effect of a suspension lamp, but without drilling any holes in the ceiling. The solid white Carrara marble base acts as a counterweight and supports the large metal arch, while the hole in its center of gravity is a brilliant detail: simply insert a broomstick through it to lift and move the base with ease.

On the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary, Flos paid tribute to this legendary creation by presenting a new LED version, modern and efficient, which complements the classic model while preserving its original charm intact.
