Flos A-Rise 49 is a recessed LED uplight by Flos Outdoor, designed for floor, wall or ceiling installation in high-end outdoor settings. The body is crafted from turned aluminium (EN AW-6060 alloy) with 15-micron anodizing for superior corrosion resistance, while the cap and frame are finished in AISI 316L stainless steel, ensuring a refined and lasting appearance. A transparent polycarbonate diffuser completes the compact 49×47 mm structure, with a mounting diameter of just 38 mm.

With its IP67 rating and high-performance materials, the A-Rise 49 is ideal for enhancing pathways, gardens, terraces and architectural facades, blending seamlessly into any surface. It is the perfect choice for those seeking precise and high-quality illumination in outdoor spaces. The double-layer coating system — compliant with QUALICOAT standards and featuring an epoxy primer layer combined with a UV-resistant polyester powder topcoat — provides outstanding long-term protection against weathering.

The luminaire integrates a 1.6W LED source (absorbed power 2.3W) with a 45° beam angle and a colour rendering index CRI greater than 80. It is available in three colour temperatures — 2700K, 3000K and 4000K — delivering a luminous flux of 139, 149 and 162 lumens respectively, with an effective output of 16–18 lm. Upon request, a 2200K colour tone is available, as well as a narrow 15° or wide 100° beam option, allowing the light effect to be tailored to specific design requirements. A dimmable version is also available on request.

The luminaire operates at low voltage 12–24V DC, compatible with the main international standards (EU, AUD, USA, UK, JAP); the remote driver must be ordered separately. It is equipped with a 200 mm neoprene cable featuring an integrated H2O STOP junction system and a wiring kit with crimp connectors and adhesive heat-shrink tubing for a fully watertight connection. Wiring is in parallel; for installation in solid surfaces, a junction box must be ordered separately. For in-ground installations, a gravel layer of at least 200 mm or a drainage system is recommended to prevent water stagnation. The luminaire complies with the EN 60598-1 standard and belongs to insulation Class III.
