Flos 265 adjustable wall lamp

The 265 is a wall lamp with direct light emission, designed by Paolo Rizzatto in 1973, who conceived a special lamp that can be oriented from top to bottom and from right to left. This detail is its strong point, in addition to the arm length of 205 cm, which allows even off-center lighting in a wide radius of the room, and it is attached to the wall by means of a triangular painted steel bracket that leaves the arm highly mobile. The 265 is also characterized by its cast-iron conical counterweight located at the end of the steel arm, which precisely makes it possible to adjust the latter.

The reflector support is made of chrome-plated brass, and its small size, combined with the rounded shape of the support, gives a sense of softness to the whole lamp. The power cord runs along the entire metal arm and ends with a plug connection. Thanks to its slim and linear yet sturdy lines, 265 will gracefully become the star of rooms, adapting to any environment in the home and work spaces. The light source is not included.

In 2021 at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the new 265 Chromatica Special Edition was presented. In its original idea, the lamp was a tribute to the color of painting, in fact with the presence of the primary colors blue, yellow and red, each color defined a key design element. Highlighting each element of the lamp was Rizzatto's way of designing: assigning a color to each part helped communicate the design.
